URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENT IN S'ARENAL DE PORTOCOLOM

At Dosmas Grup we continue to develop projects that directly contribute to improving the environment, optimizing public spaces and moving towards a more sustainable development model. Within this line of work, we have recently completed an important action in s'Arenal de Portocolom, a work that has allowed us to recover a key space on the coast and transform it into a more accessible, orderly and respectful area with its environment.

The intervention has meant a significant improvement both from an urban planning and environmental point of view. One of the most notable aspects of the project has been the elimination of the old road next to the beach, an action that has allowed us to completely rethink the relationship of this space with its natural environment and with the people who enjoy it daily.

As a result of this transformation, a large green and pedestrian area has been created, designed to encourage a friendlier use of public space, enhance landscape integration and offer a more comfortable and safe environment for pedestrians and visitors. This new configuration contributes to recovering the value of the coastline as a place to meet, walk and enjoy, prioritizing urban quality and environmental respect.

The project has also included the installation of a wooden walkway and ecological pavements, elements that reinforce the sustainable nature of the action and allow better integration of the work in a particularly sensitive environment. The choice of construction solutions adapted to the location has been key to achieving a balanced, functional result in harmony with the landscape.

Likewise, the work has contemplated the creation of a new parking lot with 28 spaces in es Tancat de sa Torre, responding to the parking needs of the area from a more orderly and efficient planning. This new provision contributes to reorganizing the mobility of the environment and reducing the pressure of road traffic on the coastline.

Precisely, another of the main objectives of the action has been the improvement of mobility and the reduction of road traffic, favoring a more balanced coexistence between vehicles, pedestrians and the urban environment. It is an intervention that not only physically transforms a space, but also improves its functionality, accessibility and environmental quality.
